Keep reading to learn more about the key differences between the Segway Ninebot G30P and the Segway Ninebot G30LP.

Design:

The G30P and G30LP have similar designs, but the G30P is slightly larger and heavier than the G30LP. Both Segway Scooters have the same 10” tires, and a similar deck width. The one notable difference between the two scooters is the G30P has a longer deck allowing for a bit more space when riding, this additional length contributes to the weight difference in the scooters, where the G30LP is 5 pounds lighter than the G30P.

Battery:

The G30P has a larger battery than the G30LP, which means it can travel further on a single charge. The G30P has a range of up to 65 Kilometres, while the G30LP has a range of up to 40 Kilometres. However, the G30LP has a longer lifespan, with up to 600 charge cycles before the battery needs to be replaced, compared to the G30P's 500 charge cycles.

Please note, there is no real data on how many charge cycles an electric scooter can go through. But it’s safe to say that both the G30LP and the G30P can last around 400-500 charge cycles or more if maintained and cared for properly.

Speed and Power:

Both the G30P and G30LP have a maximum speed of 15.5 mph (25 kph). The G30P has a more powerful motor, with 300W compared to the G30LP's 250W. This means the G30P can handle steeper inclines and rough terrain more easily than the G30LP. Both scooters also have the exact same payload of 220lbs, meaning that they can both support the same max weight. The only noticeable difference between these two scooters is the motor, as we explained the G30P is just a bit better for steeper inclines & rough terrain.

Brakes and Safety:

Both the G30P and G30LP have large 10” wheels that absorb impact when riding, this results in smoother rides and more enjoyment! Both of these scooters also have an identical electronic braking system, the electronic braking system is designed for maximum stopping power on both scooters.

The Segway Ninebot G30P and G30LP are both high-quality e-scooters that offer a range of features and capabilities. The G30P has a taller handle and longer deck for more riding comfort. It's also a darker shade of grey with black components making it appear more stylish. The G30LP is shorter handle and short deck which means it's lighter weight and may fit storage better. It's a light grey colour with some black components making it easier to spot by drivers and pedestrians.

At the end of the day these two scooters are very similar, each has identical tires, braking systems, and max speed, but the G30P is just a bit better performance wise. With a 300 Watt motor and 65 KM range it is definitely more powerful than the G30LP with a 250 Watt motor and 40 KM range.

Personally, we believe that both of these scooters are great for commuting or casual riding, given that both are very similar in almost all categories, these scooters can be used for multiple purposes.

With that being said, the slight differences between these two e-scooters make the G30LP more convenient for commuting given its weight, range and speed, while the G30P is better for casual or new riders given its stability, max payload, and larger deck size.
